Dave Lindsey was back in the winners’ circle again after winning the 200 free. Scott LeRoy had no trouble in securing second place. Ron Kipp once again swam to victory in the 200 I.M. The win was supplemented by Steve Lindsey’s second. John Zipprich went out for a fairly sure win in the 50 free and won. Gary Berger finished third in the race and Rex Eisner, although he did not p la c e , a lso had a very impressive time. With no competition on the diving board Rob Bignall took first and Ken Ward second. Steve Lindsey was nosed out o f a win in the 100 fly and had to settle for second. Dan Dahrens secured third. John Zipprich seemingly flew to a victory in the 100 free. Dave Kitchen captured third and although he did not place, Rex Eisner finished jusl seconds behind the winner. Ron Kipp sprinted his way to a sure victory once again in the 400 free, while Scott L e R o y had no tr o u b le capturing second place. In the last lap o f the 100 breast, a Cheesemaker pulled ahead o f Rob Bignall, leaving R ob se c o n d place. Craig Cousins fought off competitors for a third place win. The girls’ team expanded from five to eight swimmers during the past week and although they did not win, for the first time all year. Sandy had an entry in the girls’ 200 medley relay. Composed of Janet Baessler, Carol Craig, Connie Halverson and Vickie Cyphers, the girls finished less than three seconds behind the Cheesemakers. Marie Larson notched an easy win the 200 free and Laurie Samsel pulled in second place points. Kim Anderson easily won the 100 I.M. and Connie Halverson took second place. Kay Cousins nosed ahead of competitors to secure a first place in the 50 free. Janet Baessler and Carol Craig, swimming in their first meet, had impressive times although they did not place. Kim A n d erso n scored another easy win for Sandy in the 100 fly. With little competition in the 100 free it wasn’t hard for Marie Larson to win. Janet Baessler added more points by taking third.
