SOMETIMES A LEAVE of
absence works wonders! On
the other hand - being away
from a little task like column
writing, for awhile, can become
a pleasant habit and thus it
becomes difficult to get back
into the swing o f things Only
you, dear people, with your
continued notes, letters and
phone calls, (and the constant
querry, ‘‘has Snoop flown the
coop for good”) could have
provided the impetus for my
return. Naturally, I’m pleased ■
even flattered - to think you
feel a lack when this column
doesn’t appear in the Post!
SO HERE WE ARE BACK
at the old grind - with so many
things piled up to talk about
that I hardly know where to
begin. Since many of you have
shown interest in what Snoop
has been up to o f late - I guess
I could start with a brief
resume to catch you up to date
- then, by next week, I’ll have
done enough eavesdropping to
catch up on what you have
been up to.
I’ve done a bit of wandering
about the country - a few days
in Vancouver and Victoria
B.C, did much to restore life in
this old girl. Then a trip to
New York City for a short visit
with
my

daughter, currently attending
on-the-scene workshop classes
with a group from Lewis and
Clark College. This was a
much-needed fun trip and far
too short. Did get to see several
fine Broadway productions,
ride the subway, wander down
5th
Avenue and
through
Central
Park.

all was an afternoon o f chess

with Mr. Rossolimo himself.
