and will be able to come home

Congratulations to Naomi

26th Anniversary last week. If
they would just wait a bit, we
could catch up with them, hut
they keep forging ahead. May
they have a hundred more.
I hope all the mothers on
the mountain and elsewhere
had as wonderful a Mothers
Day as 1 did. Gathered up
Grandma and took her into our
daughter’s house where all the
rest of the family, which is our
son and wife Leslie, came over.
Had a ball.
Pat and Castle Brewer had a
bit of a cat problem. They still
haven’t figured out how it all
came about. Seems they took
mama cat in for surgery, just
tired of having kittens every
time they turned around. That
was on Tuesday evening.
Wednesday evening they heard
this plaintive cry, and found a
two and a half week old kitten
up in the rafters of the back
porch. Retrieved it, brought it
in and got a bit of milk down
it. T h u rsd ay
night they
brought home the mama cat,
who was joyfully reunited with
her cheeild.
The doctor had told them
she still had milk enough to
nurse her baby. After a while
the cat asked out, and before
long showed up with another
kitten. After a few more trips
outside, she had booned then
with 5 kittens. Kind of a shock
when you were so sure she’s
hadn't had them yet.
All alive and healthy, inspite
of the fact that mother was
delayed for over 48 hours.
Sturdy little mongrels. They
know it can’t happen again,
but they are still a bit amazed
that it happened at all.

public is invited, as always, and
they would also like any o f the

Mrs. Mitchell was one of my

there, but other committments
keep me away. Sorry about
that. It should be a most
interesting meeting, as Mrs.
Mitchell can tell you all about
the old one room school house
that we attended.
Congratulations to Evelyn

combined Mothers Day with

two events with one party.
A couple of weeks ago,
Kathy had an article in her

Matheson and her younger
brother. Needless to say this
was quite a surprise to the
Mathesons, as they have an all
girl family and Marilyn is the
youngest. It is always a surprise
to find you have slipped up on
a child someplace. Anyhow,
the young gentleman that
accom panied
Marilyn was
Phillip Christensen.
I have just got to say
something about it just once
more. How come someone is
always parked in front of the
outside mail box at the Sandy
Post Office? Every time I drive
up there to mail a letter I have
to get out and walk around.
Why don’t they turn it around
and let the public drive up on
the sidewalk to use it, maybe
they would stand a better
chance of getting near it.
Better yet, why don’t the
Sandy
Police start giving
tickets. Thats what happens to
you in other towns, just try
parking in a marked zone
anywhere else and see how fast
the police show up and greet
you with a ticket. Could it be
because they also park in front
of the box on their off duty
hours? Have seen that happen
also.
I am sure the public was
under the impression that the
outside box was put their for
their convenience, but so far it
has been most inconvenient to
have to walk up to use it.
I am afraid that I am going
to play hookey next week.
Going to be too busy to get my
notes in, but will be back the
following week. Will have a
