tomorrow to participate in the
national tournament of the
WIBC in San Diego.
Flying on one of three trips
a rra n g e d

b ow lin g
impressario George Amato,
they
will
join
88 other
women’s teams
from the
Greater
Portland
Women’s
Bowling Association competing
in
tournament.
A
record
number of 4,477 teams have
entered the tournament.
Outside of California, the
Portland association leads in
the number of teams entered in
the annual event and Oregon’s
overall team total o f 151 is
second highest in the U.S.
outside o f California.
Sponsors

the
four
five-member teams from Sandy
are Pioneer Real Estate, Dea’s
In and Out, TJ’s Restaurant
and San Diego Esta Lanes.
The chartered flight will
stop en route for three nights
in Las Vegas where many side
trips and visits have been
planned. The teams will arrive
in San Diego Monday morning
and bowl the team event at 7
p.m. Monday night. Doubles
and singles are slated for 12:30
p.m. Tuesday and the return
flight to Portland will follow
that afternoon.
