According to Sainsbury, Nagel was selected because of ' his impressive record as a community leader. “We feel that the 1969 Salvage Recovery Drive will be the biggest and most successful ever u n d er Mr. Nagel’s leadership. He has already made some vast changes in the “ Drive” format and we see a banner year ahead”, Sainsbury , said. Nagel, a native of Portland, I graduated from Franklin High School and the University of Oregon. He has been active for 8 years in the Cuban Refugee Placement program and has placed 15 in the firm of N & C Service Co. of which he has been a director and manager for the past 19 years. Nagel is also a director of Creative Papers Northwest Ind and K ig g in s - S m ith Co. o f Vancouver. Nagel’s spare time to spent skiing, having been a Jaycee instructor for two years and is now a member, of Professional Ski Instructors of America He is married and has two children.
