4 THE SAN DY (Or«.) POST Thur»., Oct. 10, I960 <S«e. 1) SANDY WOMEN'S CLUB SUSAN HOLLY SEAMLESS Parity Hose History rolled back last Thursday at the Woman’s Club when M r * . C laire Besher of Portland, whose great grand parents crossed the plains in 1864, gave a most graphic des cription of that great migration. She traced step by step the reasons why those hardy souls left their often comfortable homes to brave the perils of the unknown. Many came for new lands; others for reason of health; some because friends and relatives were going and, to the young, especially, adven ture beckoned. Whatever the reasons, those who made It w ere sadder and w iser when they finally reached the pro mised lands. *1.59 Plus SO Extra S&H Green Stamp* F IR E PREVENTION W EEK THE TROUBLE VJITH NERO W A S WE P L A Y E D T H E F ID D LE VMWEN WE SHOULD WAVE PLAYED THE HOSE - SAH Green Stamp* Clackama* County Bank Monay Order* Pay Station for P.G.E.
