I) HM -Pioneers Slate Two Games The Sandy Pioneers return to basektball action tonight they entertain Thurs., as Oregon City’s Pioneers in a Oregon City contest the team has shown a decided weakness on the backboards. B. Jackley suffered a broken foot during pre-season practice and has been out of the opening con tests. If able to play he will take over the center d u ties for the squad. Members of the basketball squad travelled to Oregon City recently to observe them In action against Columbia River non-conference tilt. On Tues. day, Jan. 4, they open the Wilco game against Wy’east. That contest «rill be played on the Sandy court also. Coach Nick F bertaon hopes to have veteran iwtterman Brock Jackley back in action for the high of Washington. In that tilt the OC squad was beaten on a last second field goal. Com menting on them Robertson said “They’re tough”. OC is con sidered a pre-season favorite to capture the TV League hoop crown.
