OBITUARIES
MARGARET S. TATUM
Mrs. Margaret S. Tatum,
born in York, Pa., in 1878,
widow of Col. H. C. Tatum for­
merly of Carmel and Lp Jolla,
Calif., died Friday, Oct. 15, at
St. Jude’s Home, Sandy.
Mrs. Tatum was a long time
resident of the Pacific coast,
having come to Seattle, Wash.,
as a child tn 1887.
She Is survived by taro daugh­
ters, Mrs. Sheldon Ellwood of
Brightwood, and Mrs. John F.
Rambeau of Norman, Okla., a
sister, Mrs. Stella Lee of
Langley, Wash., four grand­
children and one great grand­
child.
Private
family
services
were held at Bateman Funeral
Chapel with final Interment at
Rosecrans National cemetery,
San Diego, Calif.
IARRY LONGSTREET
Larry I-ee Longstreet, Rt.
2, Box 857, Sandy, died Fri­
day, Oct. 15, at his home.
Larry was born in Portland
on May 21, 1950. He had lived
all of his life in the Sandy area.
He was a sophomore at Sandy
high school.
Larry is survived by his
parents Foster and Lena Long­
street; two brothers, Rolland
and William; and a sister,
Pamela, all of Sandy and a
grandmother, Mrs. Jessie Cow­
ard of I»s Ange’ j.
Services were Monday, Oct.
18, tn the Seventh-day Adven­
tist church in Sandy. Elder
Ira D. Follett, officiating.
Burial was In the Sandy cem­
etery.
Arrangements were by Car-
roil Funeral Home, Gresham.

Warren L. Crutcher, Rt. 2,
Box 149, Boring, died In a Red­
mond hospital after suffering
a heart attack while fishing.
He was born Sept. 14, 1895,
in Nashville, Tenn.
Crutcher came west when
four years old, received his
education in Portland and Wel­
ches and lived on a section of
land homesteaded by his par-
ents in the Zig Zag area, a
place that shows now on the
maps as Crutcher’s Bench.
He enlisted in the army June
24, 1918, and served in France.
Upon his return from service
he was united tn marriage to
Louise Lindstrom of Ione. He
again lived in the mountain area
near Brightwood where he log­
ged and built and operated a
shingle mill. He spent the next
18 years as fire warden for
Clackamas and Marion count­
ies.
Survivors Include his wife,
Louise; sons, Lee, Newberg;
and Kenneth, Boring; daugh­
ters, Mrs. Patricia voai Bor­
stet, of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and
Mrs. Phyllis Goouln, San Fran­
cisco; and 10 grandchildren.
He was a member of Sandy
Lodge No. 158 A.F. and A.M.
and the Sandy American Legion.
Funeral services will be held
Thursday, 10:30 a.m. at Bate­
man funeral chapel with inter­
ment at Willamette National
cemetery.
Set Saturday
The Social Club of Trout-
lale Chapter No. 80 OES is
having a turkey dinner on Sat­
urday, Oct 23, from 5 to 8
p.m.
Also in conjunction with the
dinner there will be a bazaar,
where gifts, baked goods, and
candies will be sold. The pub­
lic is invited.
