Hearing Screening Test at the
lodge Saturday, Nov. 14, from 9
a.m. to 2 p.m., and Sunday, Nov.
15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The
hearing tests will be given free
to all adults, and children 6 years
or older.
This hearing tes* is designed
to detect only a deficiency in hear
ing, and is not to be construed
as. a medical check-up. Report
cards will be given to each per
son taking the test, with indications
thereon relating to the status of
their normal or subnormal hear
ing.
If a deficiency is indicated,
the person taking the test is ad
vised on the report card to visit
their own personal physician.

Mrs. Irene Smith, wife of Law
rence Smith, died at Gresham Gen
eral hospital two days after having
surgery. She is survived by her
husband and several step-children.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith have lived
in the Lusted and Cottrell areas
for about ten years and have been
employed by several farmers in
that locality.
Mrs. Merle Limbeck and chil
dren, Leila, Paul and Lawrence
of Scio, recently spent a week with
her parents, the Rev. and Mrs.
Kenneth F. Abbott of Pleasant
Home Methodist church.
Mrs. Arthur Gudge, room mo
ther for Mrs. Grim’s 3rd grade,
of the North Gresham Grade
School, gave a Halloween party for
the children. Mrs. Grim had a
story followed by refreshments.
Mrs. Grim gave each child a take-
home gift.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bushue and
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Moulton have
been attending the Farm Bureau
Convention at Grants Pass.

The K.P.’s 4-H Cooking club
met Oct. 27 in the basement of
the Church of God. The group
prepared a dinner of clam chow
der. nigs in a blanket, turnip and
apple wedges, carrot sticks, jello
and punch.
The meeting was conducted by
Kathy Jones, president. A com
mittee consisting of Denene Hes-
tersan, chairman, Roberta Ting-
b and Lorelet Stillwell, was ap
pointed to plan the Christmas
meeting.
The next meeting will be Nov.
