Carefully charting the important 12 days at the first of December and the 12 days immediately be fore Christmas can insure a care free Christmas for the entire fam ily, according to Miss Webster. “The Twelve Days of Christ mas” will be taught as the No vember Home Extension Unit project throughout Multnomah County. ♦ * * Bulletin for study was prepared by Bernice Strawn, Home Man agement and Equipment Specialist of Oregon State University Ex tension Service. She uses the Twelve Day theme to help busy homemakers divide their shopping, housecleaning, gift buying and wrapping, cooking and enter taining into the proper part of the month. “The twelve days before Christ mas are always busy,” cautions Miss Strawn. “But there are ways to relive the pressure. Remem ber: Very few events need to be left to chance, rather, they can be made to happen. And you ’re the HOW TO DRIVE A NEW CAR. one who can make them happen— through management.” “Don’t forget to consider the alternatives,” she warned, re minding them that no plan can be followed to the letter. Leave room for changes in schedules when a change becomes necessary. Each Home Extension Unit mem ber will receive a calendar with her bulletin to list several tasks for each day before Christmas. If you are not a member of a County Home Extension Unit, you can easily join one already es tablished in your neighborhood.
