Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Munn have
returned from a two week vaca­
tion. They drove to Oklahoma to
see relatives and old friends.
While there they saw the new
dam just finished across the Ar­
kansas river. When the water is
turned back to Its rightful course
and the dam is filled the lake be-
hind it will have a 225 mile shore
line. Mr. Munn’s old home town
will be inundated.
This correspondent went with
friends to Eugene Sunday to visit
the R. p. Landis family who have
moved recently from Las Vegas.
The “Pan Greasers” 4-H club
have several of their articles ready
for the Multnomah County Fair.
Mrs. R. Hasselman is their lead­
er.
R. P. Weaver had the misfor­
tune to get his hand caught in the
hay baler and crushed the flesh,
quite badly. Fortunately no bones
were broken.
Janis and Sharon Thompson at­
tended the Junior Leadership
workshop In Canby. Mrs. Bob
Townsend one of the 4-H leaders
went with them.
The Ronald Stewart Jr. family
took a day off from work last
Thursday and drove to Silver Creek
Falls for the day and family pic­
nic.
The “Gabby Sewers” 4-H club
are quite busy putting the finish -

they will be ready for the County
Fair.
The Joe Wooley family drove to
Ridgefield, Wash., Sunday for the
day with his brother R. A. Wooley
and family.
Charles Hasselman of Tacoma
is here for a visit with his son R.
Hasselman and Mrs. Hasselman.
Mr. and Mrs. Ron Hasselman and
son Ronny came out from Portland
and enjoyed barbecue supper with
them Sunday evening.
