By Jeannie Hendon
Seems as if everyone’s going
on picnics. The Pep-Club recently
traveled to Oak’s Park. On the
same day,CrimsonSclubmembers
went to Janzen Beach. Before that
Rose Cortes was presented a lovely
camera at the American Field
Service picnic which was held
at Carolyn Cooke’s home.
Frosh and soph’s are hopping
over to Jantzen this Thursday
after school for their annual class
picnic.
Seniors have definatly made up
their minds about their all night
party which Is scheduled next
Thursday night after graduation.
Rose Cortes leaves the 1 Sth
of June. She will travel around
the United States for a month and
wind up with a visit to the New
York World’s Fair. (How lucky
can one little gal get) The friendly
lass will dance and give her fare
well speech to SUHS students Thur
sday morning during the annual
awards assembly.
Pioneer
Press Staffers have
really been busy! The kids are putt
ing out an eight page edition next
Monday. With only 60 dollars in
the staff treasury, the group had
to ask for money from the Senior
Community Bank

tables left in the whole room.
Has been rumored that the Pioneer
Building will be torn down immed
iately after school closes next
Tuesday.
Already the long-lived tradition-
alized Senior bench has been done
away with. There are only two
little pieces of concrete left where
the bench once stood.

moment will be a senior next

to be an intelligent and capable

school begins next September.
According to Mr. Larry Reisbig,
head football coach, there will
be a meeting the 21st at seven
o’clock at the high school for
the boys who are trying out for
football. Mr. Rlesbig would like
for the boys to stop in his class
room to sign up and pick up
summer workout schedule so he’ll
know who to expect when he walks
out on that field next September!
He also will send letter reminders
to expected team members.
Don’t forget to come to Baccal
