By ELLEN STAUFFER, Hood-Land 117 Last weekend was a most Inf ormative and educational one for me It seems. First of all, we went to see the dog sled races at Government Camp; something which I had only seen on Sergeant Preston of the Yukon. Eight dog teams of five or seven dogs to a team raced from the Summit Station to Trillium Lake and back. It surprised me to see the numbers of persons Interested in this sport as there were entrants from Oregon, Washington, and California. Our next stop was to do some skiing where again for the first time I saw a slalom race and some ski jumping. The race was held for both men and women at Multlpor on Saturday and Sunday. Finally, I learned that the next time I buy a duck to roast, I won’t buy one.
