The conference, sponsored by county forestry committees and Oregon State university Cooper ative Extension Service, is aimed at helping woodland owners keep abreast of new developments, re ports C. R. Ross, OSU extension farm forestry specialist. Key topics include animal dam age, taxation, forest rehabilitation and forest products developments, including preservation treatments. The idea of commercial recreation as a woodland product will also be discussed. The meeting will open at 9 a.m. in the Mayflower Farms auditor ium at the east end of the Ross Island bridge. During the business meeting, Mrs. Frank Foreman gave a very interesting report on the govern ment of Ecuador, our study coun try this year.
