Thursdav. Ian. 16, 1964 (Sec. 1) The Sand) (Ore.) Post BUSINESS MADE NEWS IN SANDY DURING 1963! Harry and Jeanette I’inewski took over operation of H. A 4. Coin Cleaners, lol Main St., Sandy, last June. They recently installed eight Laundromat washers ami three dryers in addition to their Westinghouse dry cleaning equipment. Harry or Jeanette are on hand every day from 8 a.m. til 8 p.m.. excepting Sundays and holidays. 4 our clothes will have a professionally ( leaned look and Jeanette will help pre spot them before dry cleaning. Their new washers and dryers are kept neat and clean at all times. The Pine- ewskis built their home a few miles east of Sandy and moved there in 1961. They have three children. Jim. Barbara and Kathy, attending Sandy schools. The Alder Creek <\irl Shop is i.perated by Kathy Durr on Alder ( reek Drive, eight miles east of Sandy . The beautiful, modern shop is decorated in lavender, gold and white with sun deck balcony looking into woods. The shop features hair styling, Rayette and Zoto's permanent waves, and com plete beauty service. The new shop opened Dec. 7 adjacent to the Durr home. Leighton. Kathy and their four boys—James, Michael, Donald and Christopher—moved to the Sandy area 31 j years ago from Iowa. The hoys attend Sandy schools. Mrs. Durr is a graduate of tile Portland College of Beauty. Phone Hood Land 331, collect, for appointments. David E. Graves has been owner of Van's Barber Shop on Main St. since December. 1963. He is a native of Pilot Kock in Eastern Oregon. Van Bar hour, former owner, is still working Eriday afternoons and Saturdays. There is no friendlier place to stop and chat than Van's Barber Shop.
