Free SV., 1963 President of the National Can­ ners Assn., who addressed the Annual Membership Confer­ ence of the Northwest Canners and Freezers Assn., says, “You in the Northwest have pride of performance to crow about in the fact that you pay fruit and vegetable growers here in the Northwest a grand total of $136,155.000 a year $64,529,000 for your fruits and berries and $71.6O6,(XM) for your vegetables. “It means a lot to the farm community and their families for you to buy 238,430 tons of their fruits and berries, and the vegetables from 334,883 acres of Northwest farmland producing 1.693.012 tons for can­ ning and freezing," Free sta­ ted.
