Sandy, died Sept. 10. He was
born in Colorado and lived in
California before coming to this
area. He was a construction la­
borer.
Funeral services were held
Sept. 12, at Bateman funeral
chapel with burial at Forest
Lawn cemetery.

a pioneer Sandy area resident,
died last Friday at a McMinn­
ville hospital. She was born
Annie M. Stover on Feb. 20,
1870, at Sandy and attend­
ed Sandy and Cedar schools.
Her husband, Michael S.
Mayfield, died four years ago.
She belonged to the Metho­
dist church.
A favorite pastime of her
grandchildren and great-grand­
children was to sit by her feet
and listen to her vivid re­
counting of life in early-day
Oregon.
Survivors include 6 grandchil­
dren, 17 great • grandchildren
and 25 great-great-grandchil­
dren.
