Caroline Frank, Boring, re­

on Polled Hereford Assn, as
the high scoring Polled Here­
ford exhibitor in 4-H classes
at the Oregon State Fa.r. She

Hereford class.
Other winners receiving blue
ribbons were Chuck Brooks,
Boring. Hereford; Larry Lind-
land. Eagle Creek. Hereford

Mrs. A J. Tuttle has enjoy­
ed visits from two nieces late­
ly. Mr. and Mrs. Angelo Ni-
corvo and children came all
the way from New Jersey and
Mr. and Mrs. apaul Yearout
from Provo. Utah.
The Fullertons enjoyed the
company of Mr. and Mrs. Har­
ry Hill of Klamath Falls and
a visit from grandchildren

The Dover Extension met last

Elaine McQuaw, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Me-
Quaw, Sandy, will be installed worthy adviser at the 45th in­
stallation of officers of the Mountain View Assembly No. 46,
Order of Rainbow, next Saturday, Sept. 21, at 8 p.m. at the
Sandy Masonic hall. Associate adviser will be Gail Maroney,
with Barbara Bridgmon as Charity, Evelyn Ihrke as Hope,
and Carol Seibert as Faith. Mt Scott chapter of the De Molay
will do the crowning. The theme is "Somewhere Over the
Rainbow," and the colors are orange and white. The installa­
tion is open to the public.

pink brocade suit for the oc-
casion. Mrs. Frank Fox was
matron of honor with Dixie
Wesselink and Diane Pullen
as bridesmaids, They wore
matching frocks of blue em-
broidered satin with three-
quarter sleeves and carried
bouquets of white carnation
and sweetpeas with blue and
yellow ribbons. Kathy Heck­

4-H Leaders
Hold Meeting
4-H Club leaders in Clacka­
mas and Maron counties are
invited to a district 4-H lead­
ers meeting to be held at the
St. Paul Episcopal church on
Thursday. Sept 26.
The program will be pre­
sented by members of the State
4-H staff from Corvallis. Sub­
jects to be discussed are junior
4-H leadership project, em­
pire builders and working with
older 4-H club members.
Members of the state staff
who will appear on the pro­
gram are Ruth Brasher, Glenn
Klein and Jim McAllister.
Clackamas county 4-H lead­
ers will be serving as hosts
for the meeting This is the
first dstrict 4-H leader meet-
ng to be held in Clackamas
county in recent years.

bride of Willi Heckel, Trout­
dale, at a double ring cere­
mony at Immanuel Lutheran
church of Sandy on Aug. 10.
The bride is a 1959 graduate
of Sandy high school. The
groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Jacob Heckel, Gresham.
He came to the United States
from Berf aut Fehmarn, Ger-
many in 1952 and became a
U. S. citizen in 1961.
Rev. Leudke officiated at the
wedding ceremony, which was
held against a background of
glads and daisies.
Charlotte Leudke was solo­
ist with Mrs. Alexander at the
organ.
The bride wore a floor-length
gown of peau de soie with tier­
ed overskirt of French lace
and fitted lace bodice. Her
fingertip veil was held in place
by a tiara of pearls. She car­
ried

rosebuds.

Rural building in northwest­
ern Clackamas county went up
to $8,312,415 during the first
eight months of the year. Of
this, $1,494,692 was in new con­
struction authorized in 114 per­
mits issued during the month
of August, the building admin­
istrator’s office reported.
The August total was $387,
325 more than in the corres­
ponding eight months of last
year.
There were 71 new single
family dwellings that will cost
an eventual $1,015,875 started
last month. Industrial construc­
tion added $124,875 to the total,
with the remainder going tor
an apartment house, a church
and miscellaneous buildings.
