The Umpqua and Rogue riv
ers show a fine upswing in
spring Chinook runs.
On the Umpqua the run has
exceeded the highest total re
corded at Winchester since the
counting station was built in
1946 During June more than
7,800 springers were tallied
through the station bringing the
total count so far this spring
to 9,532 fish. If the run follows
the normal pattern of comple-
tion
expected that the
final figure will be in excess
of 11,000 fish.

The Foxes say the little girls
are just like their own chil-
dren and

enjoy their little sisters from
abroad very much.
