On left Is eighth-grader Jimmy Ennis, who took second prize. Kae Anne Frazier, in center, took sweepstakes and a first award. She Is a sixth grader. Eighth grader Marlene Wilkinson took a first award. Their art teacher is Mrs. Isabel Van Lanlngham, who teaches art to students of three upper grades at Cottrell. Moksness-Crownover Vows Said Sandy’s Immanuel Lutheran church was the scene of the wedding of Phyllis Anne Crown- over of the Sandy to Le Roy Walter Moksness of Portland. The ceremony was performed Saturday, May 11, at 2 in the afternoon, in a setting of dog wood. white lilac and stock. Rev. Walter Leudtke perfor med the double ring service. Phyllis Anne is the daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter B. Crownover, Rt. 2, Box 693, Sandy. The bridegroom is the son o fMrs. Bjarne Moksness, Astoria. The bride's gown was design ed with a white chantilly lace bodice and full chiffon skirt with lace insets. She wore a veil of lace and carried white orchids and stephanotis. Catherine Crownover, the maid of honor, was gowned in pale green peau de soie with matching shoes. She carried a bouquet of white carnations. Marilee Moksness was the bridesmaidand was also gown ed in pale green peau de soie with white carnation bouquet. The bride’s mother wore a gown of brown voile with a cream - colored orchid. The bridegroom's mother chose a dress of navy blue and white. She also wore a cream-color ed orchid. Mrs. Dyann Alexander was organist for the occasion. The best man was Roger oksness of Corvallis. Kenneth McQueen and Richard Swen sen of Portland were ushers, with Arnold Neuman and Rob ert Flath serving as candle lighters. Approximately 100 guests at tended the wedding and the re ception, which was held in the church. Mrs. Charles Knight and Mrs. Carter Helmick pour ed. Mrs. Rodney Nelson cut the wedding cake with Mrs. K. Mc Queen assisting. Bette Moks ness passed the guest book. Out-of-town guests were Dr. and Mrs. Charles Knight, Vic toria, B. Scouts to Cook Spaghetti Feed Jim Reick's Scout troop No. 173 is holding its annual spaghetti dinner this Saturday, May 25, at Welches school caf- eteria. Serving hours are 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The menu will feature Spa ghetti, tossed salad and ga r- lie bread. The scouts them selves will do the cooking un der the guidance of local spa ghetti experts. This dinner is the boys' fund- raising project of the year and proceeds will be used to fl- mance their scouting projects.
