Dudley has been ----- ap­ pointed permanent postmaster at Rhododendron by President Kennedy, according to a tele­ gram from Sen. Maurine Neu­ berger. Dudley, who has been serving as acting postmaster, earned his appointment on the basis of an open competitive examination. Early Senate con­ firmation is expected. Mrs. Lyle Seaman of San­ dy recently made a trip to Arizona to visit her mother, brother and family. She was accompanied by her brother, Wayne Steward of Portland, Mrs. Edna Gunderson and Miss Esther Moore, both of Sandy. Two of the Seamans’ newest poodle puppies accompanied the group. The travelers enjoyed watch­ ing slot machine - players in Reno, but noted especially the springtime beauty of the city of Las Vegas. They also visited Hoover Dam, although only Steward and Miss Moore took the elevator tour down through the dam.
