Wil­ fred Burgess, principal of Cen­ tennial high school, was guest speaker. Listed on the honor roll at Portland State college this quarter is Mrs. Raymond Bak­ er who achieved a perfect 4.0 grade average. Twenty - one piano pupils of Mrs. Thelma Sipe Jones took part in the Junior Festival of the Oregon Federation of Mu­ sic Clubs on March 19-21 at Portland State college. At the 11 o’clock service on Palm Sunday, April 7, the ser­ mon will be Palms and Psalms. On Maundy Thursday the Church Board will meet at 7:30 followed by a special candle­ light Communion Service at 8:30. Church youth have plans for a car wash and baked sale at the church parking lot on the day before Easter. The group of 10 teen­ aged boys and girls of the Da­ mascus area will use funds de­ rived from sale of the hang­ ers to buy their own uniforms. Each member would like to * collect 1,000 or more hangers. Boxes have been placed in various stores in the Gresh­ am and Damascus area.
