Sunday School 2nd Wednesday of month Testimonial meeting H P.M. In the spring a woman's fan cy turns to new clothes and at the Woman's Club March 7, their fancy was fully gratified by seeing some beautiful clothes on attractive Sandy models. Mrs. Agnes Barker was the witty and charming Emcee and introduced Mrs. George Burg and small daughter in a charm ing, colorful, rose mother and daughter outfit. Later little Miss Burg modeled an Easter ensemble of yellow and white. Little Donna Dyal appeared in an all white costume with all the aplomb of a profesional model. Mrs. Burg then showed an aqua suit with hat, shoes, bag and jewelry to enhance its charm. Another costume which she modeled was a yellow print chiffon with two sets of match ing accessories. Mrs. Joyce Grokett modeled two basic black frocks and demonstrated how a change of accessories could fit a simple plain gown for any time of the day. Her costume jewelry was particularly striking. She also modeled a striking black suit with white piping which was very much admired. Mrs. Vening appeared in a charcoal reversible coat with hat, gloves and bag. Besides all this Mrs. Louise Shields and Mrs. Anna Olds of Boring sent over a dozen and a half of their beautiful hand made hats which were shown by Mrs. Walt Howard. The members of the Woman’s Club, with guests Mrs. Ray G. Bahe of The Dalles, Mrs. Nell Bistorious and Mrs. Florence Lionberger of Welches and Mrs. Joseph Decker of Boring, en joyed the fashion show as well as the delicious dessert lunch eon which was served down stairs by hostesses Mrs. R. S. Hall, Larry Armstrong, James Duff, Roy Hickey and R. S. Bunnell. Mrs. Walt Howard was chairman, asisted by Ag nes Barker and Mrs. Venning. Bea’s Apparel Shop, Scales Store and Grokett’s Jewelry furnished some of the items shown while some came from Meier and Frank.
