The Orient Exstenion Unit
met at the Rupert Miller home
last Thursday. Care of Rugs
and upholstry was presented by
Mrs. Fred Johnson and Mrs.
John Bradshaw. A plant sale
and blind auction was held. The
proceeds will be used for com­
munity projects.
A one-half scholarship was
given for 4-H Summer school.
Officers elected were: chair­
man, Mrs. Joe Anderson; vice
chairman,
Mrs.
Wayne
French; secretary, Mrs. John
Bradshaw; and
treasurer,
Mrs. Harry Carlson.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred John­
son spent the weekend in Shelt­
on, Wash, visiting Mr. and
Mrs. Walter Jackson.
The sixth grade girls and
boys of the Pleasant Home
Baptist Sunday school and their
teachers, Mrs. John Tragis and
Mrs. Art Ostby were enter­
tained with a supper party
at the Bob Jones home last Fri­
day evening. Assisting Mr. and
Mrs. Jones were their son, Stev­
en and Jeff Tacker.
Guests were Betty Lou Wells,
Betty Boone, Carol Baker,
Carolyn Kitchens, Linda Bowe,
Linda Neilson, Mary Tracy,
Kenneth
Neilson,
Dennis
Wright, Dusty Weatherby and
Allen Hall.
After the party the group at-
tended
Youth Crusade
meeting at the Baptist church.

and Mrs. Leslie Riggs enter­
tained with a dinner at their
home last Saturday evening in

their son, Arnold
and his fiancee. Verlane Wens.
Guests were their other three
sons, David, Billy and Jerry,
and Mrs
(Dick)
Wens, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Stotts
and Mr and Mrs LeRoy Lam­
bert.
Carroll C. Davis, disburs­
ing clerk aboard the USS
Shangri-la, was recently pro­
moted from P. O. 3/c to P. O.
2/c. At present his ship is in
Athens, Greece Mrs. Davis
(nee Mary Jane Molczan) is
in Jacksonville Beach, Fla.

er prepared and served a spa­
ghetti dinner with Rev. and
Mrs. Roy Campbell and boys
and Rev. and Mrs. Bill Wills
and three children as guests of
honor.
Preparing and serving the
dinner were Myra Sargent, Lor­
elee Washburn, Betholee Bac­
on, Sharon Cox, Barbara
Wood, Barbara Cross, Priscil­
la Wright, Mary Tomlin, Sheri
Neal, Mardel Belcher and
Yvonne Page.
After dinner Rev. Wills
spoke to the girls and led in
singing choruses. All the girls
remained for the youth crusade
meetings conducted by Rev.
Wills.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Apperson
have returned home after visit­
ing Mrs. Apperson’s sisters
and families, Mr. and Mrs.
Stanley Hansell, Mrs. Odesa
Jenkins and Mrs. Lorraine Gail­
ey in Fulerton, Calif.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Jones and
boys spent Saturday afternoon
at the Ray Messingers in Port­
land. The men went fishing
while the ladies visited.

at a belated birthday dinner
