AMERICA’S PEAC
What is Peace Power?
Peace Power is the strength to keep the peace, of course.
But that’s not all.

Peace Power is also the scientist, patiently probing in
the laboratory . . . and the kid starting his first awkward
experiment at high school.
I t’s the lean young man in uniform". 7 T th e men in
coveralls at the factory . . , and the lone farmer, carving a
furrow under open sky.
I t’s the professor, away “out in space” on the black
board . . . and his students, following him carefully as
acrobats, from one mathematic symbol to another.
It s the diplomats at a conference table, iistening hope
fully for a key to lasting peace in the translated tongues of
many nations . . . men who must be able to talk strong
and back it up . . . but whose real job is peace.
And it’s you.
You, too, are Peace Power. Because you want peace the
way you do. And because you’re backing your wanting with
money. Peace costs money. Money for many different
things: To help us keep the peace, through industrial and
military strength. To help make it lasting for the future,
through science and education. And, most important, it
takes money saved by individuals. Your Savings Bonds, as
a direct investment in your country, make you a Partner in
the job of strengthening America’s Peace Power.

The chart below shows how your Bonds will earn money
for you. But the most important thing they earn is Peace.
Think it over. Are you buying as many as you might?
