the airplane and engine mechanic’s school at
Sheppard Air Forfce Base, the home of the
largest technical school, of this type in the
world.
During thè 22-week course they will re
ceive Intensive training designed to provide
them with the thorough knowledge and the
basic skills required in servicing, inspecting,
and maintaining every type of aircraft cur-
rently used by the USAF. ; ,
Upon graduation they will be awarded the
rating of Airplane and Engine ^Mechanic, and
probably will be assigned to one of the major
air force commands for on-the-job experience.
Mrs. Robert W. 'Thompson, the former
Vivian Irlene Plant, resides at route 1, Boring.
Robert attended Sandy Union high school, was
employed by Tupper Lumber Co. in Sandy,
and enlisted May 11.
Theodore also attended Sandy Union high
school, was employed by U. S. Steel Co., and
enlisted May 12.
