The Barlow Trail Chefs 4-H
club had their first 1952 meeting
on Lincoln’s birthday. We had
a joint meeting with the Barlow
Trail Hustlers to talk about the
Emblem Club talent show.
When our leader came from
her- job at school we all went
into the kitchen and had our own
business meeting. The Okesson
brothers, Philip and August,
spent four hours a t a demonstra
tion meeting on Saturday when
none of the rest of us could he
there so we voted to count
them present at this meeting
when they could not he there.
We chose baking teams .and
made baking powder biscuits
Carroll Davis and Duane Morris
rolled out their biscuits and cut
them with a cutter. Bob Berg
lund and Mike McCormick patted
out their dough and pinched off
their biscuits, then rolled them
with their hands like camp bis
cuits. Both kinds turned out
very well and we were happy
to serve several guests: Carrol’s
father, Mr. Davis, Ellen Mitchell
and Darlene King from Mt'. Hood
and a new member of the Bar-
low Trail Hustlers Jayne Alice
Miller.
When parents called for all
the members of both ciubs we
adjourned.
