Creek,’ and Robert A. Clapp, Portland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ross
Clapp, Sandy, were m arried Wednesday, October 12, a t the bride’s
home a t Willow Springs, Eagle Creek.
The double ring ceremony was perform ed by Rev. Waldo Hicks
at 7 p.m. before an a lta r of w hite satin backed w ith autum n
leaves, w hite stream ers and fall flowers.
The bride was gowned in w hite nylon w ith gold sequin trim ,
w hite coronet w ith m atching sequins. H er slippers w ere white
and gold and she carried a cor­
sage of pink rose buds.

H er attendant, Mrs. Gordon blue chiffon w ith pale bltfe lace
Clapp, wore pink crepe and a and a w hite gardenia and the
gardenia corsage. The bride’s m other of the bridegroom wore
a blue gabardine dress w ith a
w hite gardenia.

brother of the bridegroom.
A reception followed w ith Mrs.
Charles Lane cutting the cake
and Mrs? Ben Clapp pouring.
Guest book w as passed by Miss
Phyllis Clapp, sister of the bride­
groom.
The bride chose as her going
aw ay costume a tan suit w ith
chocolate brown and pink acces­
sories. H er corsage w as of pink
rose buds and baby’s breath.
The couple will be a t home in
Portland a fte r October 19.
Out of town guests w ere Mr.
and Mrs. Ralph N eighbour and
Miss Phyllis Clapp, Portland.

at the wedding.

On Tuesday afternoon, | Octo­
ber 18, the m em bers of the San­
dy Ridge W oman’s club are plan­
ning to celebrate the 20th anni­
versary of the club in the annex
of the Sandy Community church.
An invitation is extended to
all neighboring clubs, ladies aid
societies, school organizations
and fratern al groups to be
guests on th a t afternoon. There
will be a program and refresh­
ments.

n er Methodist church, w as the
scene of an inform al wedding
ceremony last Sunday for Miss
P earl Nordin, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. E arl Nordin,, Mabery,
and H enry Ja e n k e ,; son of Mr.
and Mrs. H enry Jaenke, G resh­
am. Rev. Fletcher Cannell of­
ficiated.
The bride, given in m arriage
by h er father, w ore a gown of
yellow nylon w ith a fingertip
veil and carried a bouquet of
w hite carnations.
Miss Ethel Yost, Boring, the
bride’s attendant, w as gowned
in pastel blue and carried a bou­
quet of pink carnations. Best
m an w as Jam es Moore, P o rt­
land, b ro th e r-in -la w of the
groom.
Following the ceremony, a
dinner w as served a t the home
of the bride’s parents to m em ­
bers of the im m ediate families.
Mrs. Jaenke is a graduate of
Sandy high school and h er hus­
band was, until recently, w ith
the M erchant Marines.
The couple will live a t Pleas­
ant Home.
