Local motorists are advised to use alternate routes. US 101 at Constitution Way (Oregon Coast Highway), MP 357-362 ($2 million) Constitution Way (at US 101 mile point 357.7) is closed until September 2. Motorists are advised to watch for detour signs. Trucks traveling between North Bank Chetco River Road and US 101 (Chetco Avenue) are advised to use Railroad to 5th and Hillside, depending on direction of travel. Other traffic heading between North Bank Chetco River Road and US 101 (Chetco Avenue) will be detoured through Azalea Park Road, Pacific Avenue and Oak Street. At mile point 361, construc- tion on the new weigh station is expected to begin in August. No traffic impacts are expected this week. County Road No. 665 (Little South Fork Hunter Creek Road), MP 1.4, Bridge construction project Little South Fork Hunter Creek Road, located about five miles southeast of Gold Beach, Coos County US 101 (Oregon Coast Highway), MP 317, Euchre Creek Bridge ($4.4 million) Motorists should watch for intermittent weekday lane clo- sures with traffic controlled by flaggers. Watch for trucks and heavy equipment north of the bridge as excavation work con- tinues on the southbound shoul- der. The Euchre Creek access road (US 101, mile point 317) at the north end of the bridge will be closed for three months starting Monday, July 27. A detour route will be in place and motorists bound for the community of Ophir should turn onto the County Road 510 access road (US 101, mile point 318.4). Detour signs will be in place prior to the road closure. US 101 (Oregon Coast Highway), MP 337, Myers Creek Bridge rehabilitation US 101 traffic over Myers Creek Bridge will be reduced to a single lane until October. A temporary traffic signal will be in operation at both ends of the bridge. Motorists should expect delays of up to 15 minutes. This project will replace an existing culvert with a bridge that pro- vides better fish passage. Coos County US 101 (Oregon Coast Highway), MP 233.47 to 234.50, McCullough Bridge (North Bend) Rehab ($31 million) Motorists should expect intermittent weeknight single- lane closures. The speed limit on the bridge is reduced to 35 mph. Motorists should use caution in the work area as a large number of workers can be expected on the east sidewalk. The east sidewalk is closed due to rail work. The west sidewalk has been reduced to 2 feet, 9 inches in width through the work zone. Douglas County US 101 (Oregon Coast Highway), MP 198.53-210.22, Lane County Line to Gardiner Paving This project will repave approximately 12 miles of US 101. Paving will continue north of Gardiner. Motorists should expect lane closures throughout the week.
