Port Orford Police report
July 31
1.) Police responded to a ver-
bal dispute at 13th and Idaho
Streets. After contact it was
determined to be a possible
assault and the case is pending
further investigation.
2.) Police located and arrested
Micah Haymes on an outstand-
ing arrest warrant for Criminal
Mischief II. He was transported
to the Curry County Jail and
lodged on the warrant.
3.) A local citizen observed
several vehicles speed racing on
Highway 101 in Port Orford. The
citizen signed traffic citations on
two people for Careless Driving
and Exhibition of Acceleration.
They were both issued citations
to appear in Municipal Court on
the violations.
Note: This is an example of
how we all police our communi-
ty. Sometimes when a violator
does not observe police, they
feel they can violate laws and
get away with it. More commu-
nity participation in keeping our
community healthy and safe is a
good example of how we can all
help police our community.
Remember its up to all of us
working together to achieve a
safe environment.
Speeder of the week: A
vehicle was traveling through
Port Orford at 63 MPH in a
posted 30 MPH zone.
The driver was darting in and
out of traffic and almost struck a
pedestrian. Apparently they did-
n’t see a speed limit sign but
now they have a piece of paper

that tells them exactly what the

large in the area of 14th and
Oregon Street. It was deter-
mined to belong to a female
subject who had been given two
earlier warnings for permitting a

A favorite passage: Forgive
as the Lord forgave you.
Colossians 3:13, NIV.
Miss Me - But Let Me Go
When I come to the end of
the road
And the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom-
filled room.
Why cry for a soul set free.
Miss me-but let me go.
For this journey we all must
take
And each must go alone.
It’s all a part of the Master’s
plan,
A step on the road to home
When you are lonely and
sick of heart,
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in
doing good deeds
Miss me - but let me go.
After Glow
I’d like thememory of me to
be a happy one,
I’d like to leave an afterglow
of smiles when life is done.
I’d like to leave an echo
whispering softly down the
ways, of happy times
and laughing times and
bright and sunny days.
I’d like the tears for those
who grieve, today before
the sun of happy memories
that I leave when my
life is done.
