It was three In a row for
the Bucs when they sank the
Myrtle Point Bobcats 33-31 at
Myrtle Point Saturday, Dec. 16.
But the win required some
last-buzzer heroics by sopho
more guard Randy McCune to
pull off the win . . . it was at
the buzzer that McCune’s aim
paid off from a flip from the
top of the key to break a 31-
all tie.
And that tie was gained just
six seconds earlier when My
rtle Point, which lost only the
fourth quarter (11-5), control
led the tip off a jump ball
and got the tying points on
a corner shot by Jim Walk-
er.
It was a tight game all the
way with both squads working
feverishly for the good shot.
