Skimming Is Popular
Garrison Lake
WATER SPORT enthusiasts
and fishermen will find G arri­
son Lake Ideal for boating,
swimming, water skiing and
fishing. This fresh-w ater lake
lies partly within the Port Or­
ford city lim its, separatedfrom
ocean beaches to the west by
a narrow strip of land. A public
boat ramp Is located about half
a mile from Highway 101 on
12th Street, with ample parking.
Trout fishing Is open at Gar­
rison Lake the year around.
Floras Lake
FLORAS LAKE as seen from

fic Ocean.
The lake offers good trout
fishing with the additional con­
venience of a boat landing for
those who prefer to fish from
a boat.
The lake Is large enough to
accommodate water skiing and
sailing enthusiasts.
Bradley Lake
SKIMMING along the south­
ern Oregon beaches is pop­
ular sport for youngsters. A
skimming board is just a piece
of plywood or fiberglass . . .
which, when applied to the
shallow water along the surf-
line, provides thrills and spills
for the younger set.
BRADLEY LAKE Is located
about four miles south of Bandon
just off Highway 101 and Is one
of the lakes planted annually
by the Oregon Game Commis­
sion with s e v e r a l thousand
trout. A boat ramp provides
access to the lake. A sand dune
on the west side of the lake
borders on the ocean.
BEACH ACCESS at Bandon State
Park on the Beach Loop Road
provides a paved road to the
.beach, plus a large parking
area. The beach at this point is
wide and flat, suitable for surf
wading and “ skimming.”

Highway 101 is this deer park. Bnt not

elk, a four horned sheep and other animals
