GOLD BEACH A meeting of the Roads and Harbor Committee was held at the City Hall following the meeting of the C it y Council, in order that the Committee might make a report on their activities and make public the situation at this time. Mr. Taylor read a |^4egram from Senator McNary in which it was suggested that the Board of Engineers for Rivers and Harbors might meet at Port Orford in July. A reply to Senator McNary's telegram was also read in which the Committee stated that personal representatives were be ing sent to Washington to present the informatioa and data in person. It was an unanimous opinion of the meet ing that the Committee proceed with their plans and take the information in person to Washington. The City Council, the Port Commis sion, the unions, the Chamber of Com merce, in fact everyone in Port Orford and vicinity is 100 percent this effort, and the Comittee of the Chamber of Commerce is acting for all. It is vit ally important that information be in the Committee’s hands for their use at once.
