Sport fishermen are rem in ded that the Game Commission w ill set the 1970 angling regu lations at a public hearing Sat urday, November 22, at the Commission’ s Portland head quarters, 1634 SW A lder. The meeting w ill convene at 10 a.m. As announced previously, only the one public hearing w ill be held this year at which tim e a ll recommendations w ill be considered and the final rules adopted. This procedure Is a deviation from past years when the Commission held two pub lic sessions two weeks apart, both of which were devoted to regulations. This year staff recommen dations fo r the coming year have been publicized In the state wide press so that Interested individuals and groups would have knowledge of the proposals well in advance of the public hearing. By advertising in advance, sportsmen’ s groups and individuals w ill also have ample tim e to form ulate and submit th e ir own rec ommendations fo r the Com mission to consider at the hear ing. In adopting this new pro cedure the Commission fe lt that the single session would save the tim e and expense of the pub l ic.
