Langlois voted 92 Yes and 59 No; Pert CTfcrd tallied 163 Yes votes to 152 No, for a total vote of 255 to 211, district-wide. The approved budget reflects a reduction of $106, 359 over the 1968-69 budget. Total bud get requirement for the 1969- 70 school year is $734,707. At the regular school board meeting Monday night, chair man of the board Glenn Mayea and board member John Don- aldscn,Jr., submitted their re signations, as did Miss Nancy Guiliani, a Pacific high school teacher. GROUP of youngsters and counselor leave Camp Humdinger to join the rest of 86 camp ers on overnight hike. Camp is located on Curry county owned Dry Creek ranch up Sixes Riw r and will provide a one-week camping experience for nearly 800 children over an eight-week period. Campers, from economic depressed families in Coos and Curry coun ties, range in age from six to 16. Camp director is Miss Sally Dano, of Portland. Since the start of the program some 10 yean ago, the installation of one of these lights has been $27 a year or $2. 25 a month which included the electricity used. Coos-Cirry was one of the two utilities in the state with a rate this low. The new rate will be $36 a year of $3 a month. The announcement was made by general manager W. A. (Bill) Cook, who pointed out that the continual spiraling cost of m a terials and labor made the in crease necessary, but also point ed out that even at this rate it is well below many of the other utilities in the state since $48 a year or $4 a month is the aver age cost for cne of these lights. The new rate for those now us ing the lights on a monthly bas is will become effective Aug. 1. For those on a yearly basis the increase will be effective at the end of their contract year.
