News From Pacific High Taking first place In the Ban don Jaycees Talent Show was Becky Still; Chris Boggs placed third. GAA glrls-of-the-month for January and February are Tam Hanna, most sportsmanlike, and Rita Guerin, most cooperative. Girls’ track practice began March 24. BATTLE ROCKETS The Battle Rockets Bowling of Part Orford, held their Sweeper Night Monday, March 31, a t ChlnookBowl, Gold Beach, with McKay's Market winning first place w ith a score of 2116. Players on the team are Ima Strahan, Veneta Marstall, Jan frice and Ann Ryan. Pacific Drive-In took second place with 2064 pins,players are Era Smith, JerriHill,Arlene Green and I.e- ona Hammond. Singles event, first place was won by Veneta Marstall with a score of 587; second, Lela Alli son, 574; third,Leona Hammond, 568. Doubles event, first place was won by Jerri HUI and Ann Ry an with a score of 1092; second, Maude Weir and Lela Allison, 1084; third, Lynn Vincent and Veneta Marstall, 1073. All scores were with handi cap,and very close, so everyone will be looking forward to next year. Next important event is the annual banquet to be held at Orford's C a f e Monday night, April 7,then all trophies will be given out to the winners in the different divisions.
