o—Port Orford News, Thursday, March 27, 1969 Heather And Camellias Is Setting For Krick-Knutson Wedding March 15 her granddaughter and grand son, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson, took her to Portland to take the plane for her home In Norwalk, Calif. She has been with the Slocums since Christmas and hopes to return In April or May to miss the hot Califor nia summer. Mrs. Anderson Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Slocum. VISITS MOTHER Mr. and Mrs. Dick Barklow went to Myrtle Point on Sun day to see her mother, Mrs. T. G. Sumerlln, who had a slight case of the flu. MRS FORTY VISITS Josie Forty returned to Port Orford after spending more than three weeks visiting In Eugene, Junction City, Corvallis and Al bany. She visited friends, Mr. and Mrs. Cllf Winn Ingham at Junction City and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Anderson In Corvallis. In Albany she visited her son and family, the Kenneth Fortys, and then went to Eugene to visit her niece and nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Grover Moore. While there she had the flu very hard, but she says that was a good place to have It because her doctor is there. On Monday Mr. and Mrs. James Forty met her at the Coos Bay Airport to return her to Port Orford. DAUGHTER HOME Home for spring vacation and to recuperate from major sur gery Is Connie Guerin of Lang lois. She is attending Southern Oregon College In Ashland. Guests of Freddie and Rita Guerin during spring vacation were Kevin and Susan Atllng from Fall Creek. HOME FROM COLLEGE Doug Cope of Langlois and a friend, Dennis Keffer, were home last w e e k e n d from Eugene. He planned to be home for the entire week of spring vacation. Don Parsons in the Zion Lutheran Church In Port Orford after the organ prelude by Connie Cox and the songs, "I Love You Truly,” and “ The Lord’s Prayer” sung by W ayne Mer- rell. The bridal gown was of se quined Chantilly lace and silk organza, with Empire waist line over a full A-line skirt, which flowed back In a full chapel train caught at the s h o u ld e r s with self-fabric bows. The hemline «and train were deeply bordered with the lace. The fingertip veil of se quined silk illusion drifted from a satin bridal crown, overlaid with lace and embroidered with seed pearls. The veil and crown were made by the groom’s mother. The bride carried a cascade of white chrysanthemums with satin bows and streamers and a removable corsage of two large white orchids for her golng-away suit. The bride was given away by her father, and her maid of honor was Kathy Krlck who wore a floor length princess dress of deep pink Sakl Linen with pale pink sash and large back bow of velvet. Her head- piece was of nylon and pearl leaves, with face veil, and she carried a white candle with a swirl of apple blossoms. Mrs. Greg Crew and Gayle Knutson were bridesmaids and their dresses were the sameas the maid of honor. They car ried pink candles. Nick Marsh was best man, and ushers were Bob Fry, Gor don Knutson and Doug Cope. The groom Is a 1968 grad uate of Pacific High School and is currently employed by Cape Fisheries in Port Orford. The bride is a senior at Pacific High. For her golng-away outfit the new Mrs. Krlck chose a tur quoise and white suit with white accessories and the orchid cor sage from her bouquet. The wedding reception was held in the church social hall which was decorated with large arrangements of ornamental cherry blossoms on the piano, apple blossoms on crystal can dleholders with pink candles, a grouping of pink Swedish candles on the guest registry table and pink candles at the windows caught by white wed ding bells. Gloria Knutson and Connie Higgins cut and served the cake which was baked and decorated by the groom’s mother. Karen Erlandson poured coffee and Mrs. Francis Schrader served the punch. Guests were regis tered by Peggy Jensen and Mrs. Nick Marsh and Mrs. James Goheen presided at the gift table. The bride’s mother wore a dress of aqua-mint linen with champagne accessories and a corsage of pink gladoll. The groom’s mother wore an Ice- blue lace coat ensemble with champagne accessories and a corsage of pink gladioli. The corsages for the grand mothers, those serving at the reception, apple blossoms for the candles and bridesmaids, also the boutonnlers for the men were created of wood fib re by Mrs. Ernest Hatinaker. The groom’s cake and rice were passed out by Barbie and Sharon Coyne. The dresses of the attend ants were made by their moth ers. IN EUGENE Mr. and Mrs. Clark Slocum of Floras Lake went to Eugene on Friday of last week to take their son, B r u c e , and her mother, Mrs. Florence But cher, to visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Palmer Ander son.
