Jerry Forty, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Forty of Port Orford, was home for Christ- mas and Is enjoying a vlsltwlth home folk after finishing basic training. He received the Out­ standing Trainees Award for his company. Forty will return to Fort Ord, Calif., for seven weeks, then will go to Georgia where he is assigned to be in ad­ vanced training for Army Se­ curity. HOME FOR CHRISTMAS Pvt. Larry Rhodes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Rhodes of Port Orford, was home for Christmas after finishing basic training at Fort Ord, Calif.. On Jan. 3 he will leave for Fort Dedans, Mass., to study Morse Code under the Army Security Agency. The Rhodes family from Port Orford went to Portland for Christmas weekend to visit their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Mills.
