Legion A uxiliary Elects Officers An election of officers fo r the coming year was held last Tuesday evening at the regular meeting of the Port Orford L e g io n A uxiliary with M rs. Viola Spencer elected presi­ dent; Marie Gerhardt, firs t vice president; H arriet Flake, sec­ ond vice president; Mary Bra­ z il, secretary, and Ethel Mont­ gomery, treasurer. The other offices w ill be appointed by the president. Executive commit­ tee m e m b e rs elected were Tronl M o rris, H arriet Flake and Maude Weir. Mary B ra zil, poppy poster chairman, brought the winning posters. F irs t prize was given to Shelly Wilson, daughter of M r. and Mrs. Ryce Wilson; 2nd to Rhonda McCune, daugh­ te r of M r. and Mrs. Don Ander­ son, and 3rd to Mary Belcher, daughter of M r. and Mrs. John Belcher. Judges fo r the contest were M rs. Rose Davis, Mrs. Betty Tope and Mrs. V io la Cuatt. Delegates to attend the con­ vention on June 19 and 20 were M rs. Noma Thomas and M rs. Margaret Meyers. Alternates are H arriet Flake and Mary Brazil. It was voted to serve sand­ wiches, cake, pie and coffee at the Legion hall during the Fourth of July celebration.
