Should One Sour Apple Be Able
To Pull Down Two Good Men ?
These two men, Fell Campbell and Ryce
Wilson, have done a conscientious and capable
job as county commissioners. Wilson was re
elected just 12 months ago.
We need experienced men on the board
o f commissioners and these two have excellent
qualifications. Both were successful business
men before running for county office and
brought a wide background of experience to
the commission.
r
Yet, in a "le t's clean house" move by a
small clique, they now face a recall vote.
Curry County has been made a laughing
stock in the state by the third commissioner
and these two men have suffered much by it
already; yet now they, too, must face a
recall election. If all three commissioners,
good and bad, are thrown out the county w ill
be in a still worse situation with no experienced
men in the three principal offices of thecounty.
And who w ill run for these offices in the
future if your reward for doing a good job is
to be thrown out of office because o f the
antics of another ?
For the best interests of Corry County
retain Campbell and Wilson -
vote 'NO’ on their recall.

Here's Some Of What They’ve Done For The Good Of Curry County
I
CURRY COUNTY
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
Did you know your progressive and forward-looking County Court initiated a capital improve
ment program benefiting ALL the citizens o f Curry County?
Here is what has been accomplished in an effort to attract new industry and new residents to
the south coast area:
County financial aid in construction of the following projects:
Brookings C ity Mall
Brookings C ity & Fire Hall
Port Orford C ity Hall
Harbor Rural Water & Fire District
Langlois Water District
Hunter Creek Water District
Brookings Airport
Gold Beach C ity & Fire Hall
Nesika Beach Water District
O phir Rural Fire District
Wedderburn Sewer District
Port Orford Sewer Project
Port Orford Oceanography Station
PLUS — Youth Program - Lobster Creek Camp
PLUS — Aid To Cities For Street improvement
PLUS — Aid To Recreation - Elk River Fish Hatchery
These building and improvement projects created local jobs and local businesses; and many,
many miles o f county road improvement and paving.
We could have made a one-shot tax offset w ith the one time additional timber funds., .but
a LARGE portion would have gone to out of county owners and would not have aided the local
economy or furnished the above mentioned needed capital improvements.
Gold Beach C ity Hall
A ll this is done without use of any tax money. The small tax levied by the county is turned
over entirely to the schools and hospital. A ll other taxes are levied by schools, cities and other
districts.
