Edna Jamieson o f Port Orford, has fished all summer with his 40-foot tro lle r out of Ilwaco, Wash., and as soon as the weather settles again, he w ill bring the boat to Coos Bay fo r the winter. VISITS DAUGHTER Mrs. Josie Forty and her granddaughter - tn - law, Mrs. James Forty, went to Gold Beach last week to v is it her daughter and husband, M r. and Mrs. Vernon Wilcox, and her niece and fam ily, M r. and M rs. B ill Turner. PARENTS VISITED Mrs. Kenneth Forty o f V a l- setz was an overnight guest of her parents, M r. and M rs. O r ville Preston of Port Orford, last week. B A T TL E ROCK NEWS A "H e llo ” party was held "Monkshood” was given by Mrs. R. K. Erwin. The door prize of garden gloves went to M rs. Don BJerg, and the program fo r the meeting on oorsage making was present ed by M rs. Erwin. The October meeting w ill be with Pauline Sullivan as host ess, the bird report w ill be given by Florence Sydnam, and the flower report by the host ess. The program topic w ill be "W ild Flowers of C urry County” and w ill be given by M rs. Sullivan. The Garden Club meets the fourth Thursday of the month and Interested women are In vited to attend the programs. at the Battle Rock Gym F ri day, Sept. 22, where students enjoyed games, dancing and re freshments. Games included ping pong, bowling, basketball, four square and relay games. Chaperons were M r. 'rate, M r. Brown and M r. Felton. CHRISTIAN CHURCH NEWS Bible School Is at 9:45 a.rn.
