Hubbard of Port Orford, enlist ed In the Na-y Seabee advanced rate program June 6. He w ill be transferred to the Naval construction battalion training center at Gulfport, Miss., for a period of about tour weeks of training. He w ill be given m ilita ry d rtli, general Navy topics,con struction battalion orientation, water survival and other Navy topics. Upon completion of the school, he w ill be transferred to a Seabee battalion. Foster was employed by a friend of the bride. Brides maids were Mrs. Gene Mul lins of Reedsport, sister of the bride, Lynne Hoffman of Bend and Sally Meeuwser of Ontario, both friends of the bride. Two of the attendants wore green and white tweed A - line dresses, while the other two wore yellow and white tweed. A ll carried muffs of daisies with streamers. Candlelighters were Sharon Hubbard, cousin of the bride, and Betty Cannon, niece of the bridegroom. Organ music was provided by Mrs. Lee Auston. Best man was A rvis Cannon of Sweet Home, brother of the bridegroom. Ushers were an other brother, Dwight Cannon of Lebanon, and Lee Wallace of San Francisco, brother of the bride. Baskets of salal, white car nations and candles decorated the reception table. Serving the cake were Mrs. Lee Wallace of San Francisco and M rs. War ren Cobbs of Portland. M rs. Harold Kern of Prineville was in charge of the coffee and M rs. Arvis Cannon of Sweet Home ladled punch. Taking care of the gifts were Miss Elaine Cannon of Leb anon and Miss Leslie HaU of Baker. For her wedding trip to Vic toria, B. C., the new Mrs.Can non chose a blue knit sheath and a blue and lavender crochet- knit blazer. Following their trip , the couple w ill make th eir home in Newport where he is employed as a county extension agent. The form er Miss Wallace is a graduate of Newport High School and Oregon State Uni versity. P rio r to her marriage she was employed as a county extension agent in Prineville. The groom is a graduate of Pacific High School and OSU. He has been with the Coopera tive Extension Service in New port fo r the past two years. The young couple were chosen as Lincoln County’ s 1967 June Bridal Couple and last week they shopped all over Lincoln County fo r items they would like for their new Ufetogether. This included looking at new homes, setting up a joint bank account, buying clothing, groceries and furniture and looking at new cars. TAKE TRAILER TOUR The Roland Gerhardts just returned from a two-week tra il er trip up the coast to Wash ington w h e re they visited friends in Westport, Aberdeen, Shelton, Port Angeles and spent five days at the SolDuc natural Hot Springs where they found 90 degree weather, the hottest in the history of that area. En route home they stopped in Junction City to visit the How ard Gregersons, form erly of Port Orford, who are enjoying retirement. FAMILIES CAMP M r. and M rs. William Huret and three children and M r. and Mrs. Dale Blagden of Port Orford and the Herb Leming fam ily of Gold Beach camped at Rogue Hlde-A-Way over the weekend. Blagden reported that the temperature was 106 at Agness Friday afternoon and the grotg) found it very warm at the camp, too. > RETUR N FROM V A C A T IO N M r. and Mrs. Waiven R. Davis a n d children returned home, f r id a y ju ly 8, front vacationing in Eastern Oregon. They visited Mrs. Davis' parents, M r. and Mrs. John Gentry, new owners of the Pilot Butte Motor C o u rt They a l s o spent tim e in Redmond, cam ped out at Prineville and M r.
