Spring Concert Well Received Thursday evening, May 11, the Annual Spring Band Con cert of Pacific High, Battle Rock and Langlois upper ele mentarles was presented In the Pacific High gym. The pro gram was as follows: "T h e L ittle G iant" March, a clas sical gallery of three numbers arranged by F o rre st L . Bucht el; "P u rp le Horizons’ over ture; "Toccata fo r Band’ 1 and "T otem P o le " march w e r e presented by Pacific High band. The Battle Rock advanced band presented " F e s tiv a l," "Salute to Beethoven," "Them e from New W orld Symphony,” and the "C olonel John” march. The ad vanced band from Ltn g lo ls con tinued the program with " B r is to l" march, "Appalachian Fan ta s y ," the fo u r-p a rt "S uite fo r Young People" and "D ie F le- derm aus" overture. T ie Pa c ific High group then presented "H J 1 of Fam e" march, " F lo r entine F e s tiv a l," "T h e King and I , " and "Swing Bolero."" In was announced that Coos County Is putting In 30 acres of com m ercial beans this year and a tour of pastures in Jose phine County was announced fo r May 15.
