Sixes Grange
Holds Social
The Sixes grange met for a
social meeting at th eir hall
last Saturday evening.
C. H. Brooks, state agricul­
ture chairm an, announced a
special agriculture meeting to
be held at the Redwood Grange
h all in Grants Pass Feb. 23
at 7:30 p.m . with agriculture
chairm en, county agents and
all agriculture men Interested
to attend.
A home economics confer­
ence is scheduled for the Chetco
Grange hall Feb. 11 at 11 a.m.
M rs . Eva Stevenson, district
home ec chairm an from M yrtle
Point, w ill be In charge of the
meeting. Ladles of the Chetco
Grange w ill serve a luncheon.
O ver 400 people attended the
Youth Rally at the Sixes Grange
H all Jan. 17 and a large atten­
dance was reported on the 19th
to h ear the C hristian Troupa-
dores who gave a very enjoy­
able two hours of entertain­
ment.

Beach hospital.

Klaus T . Jensen, a junior In
the school of science at Oregon
State University, was one of

fa ll term Just completed.
A 1963 graduate of Pacific
High School, he is the son of
M r. and M rs . Knud Jensen of
Port Orford.
Alice Jensen, a p art-tim e
student at San Francisco State,
earned straight A ’ s on her last
completed term In advanced
accounting. She Is also a grad­
uate of P acific, class of 1959,
and Is the daughter of the Knud
Jensens.
FORMER RESIDENT DIES
Dull McDonald, fo rm er re s i­
dent of Coos and C u rry coun­
ties died in Portland e a rly last
week.
Duff, and his wife, M abel, who
survives, made their home at
Sixes for several years where
he was manager for the Swift
and Co. cheese factory. L ater
he was transferred by the com­
pany to th eir plant In Coquille,
"he McDonalds then moved to
Arizona for several years but
returned and again operated
the cheese factory at Sixes
until it closed. Before re tire ­
ment, he was employed by the
cream ery at Reedsport. He and
his wife had been living In
Portland since retiring.
