By JEAN N U LF GOLD BEACH—The body of Carl Mendell of Wedderburn was discovered on Bailey Beach just north of Gold Beach at 2:30 Saturday afternoon, Dec. 4, by a mother and her children as they were beachcombing. Mrs. Roderick Head and her children were walking along the beach west of Wedderburn when they came upon the body. The body was identified through an investigation by the Curry Coun­ ty Sheriff’s office with the aid of dental charts. Mendell had been aboard the crab fishing boat Halco on March 12 of Ais year when he and two companions were washed overboard. The owner of Ae boat. Dick M arr of Port Orford was rescued while A e Aird man, Lyle Inmann of Langlois, perished. Inmann’s body was recovered near Charleston April 22.
