County taxpayers went into ihe hospital Isistness in 1932, by a popular vote of the people, tn fact thev were so enthused with the p ro je ct that they donated, above taxes, a probable 50 percent of the in itia l cost of the 14-bed hospital Iwilldlng. After fou r years of operation, C u rry G eneral was In­ creased to 22 beds and four y e a :- la te r to its present 23-l>ed s ire , including a new maternity wing. Helping with the new a rriv a ls , and the many other patients that pass through the hospital doors, are .W h ill and p a rt-tim e em ployees, who provide services from custodial through professional care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
