Mrs Ira Tucker welcomed s p e c i a l guests of evening, members of the Port Orford Chamber of Commerce, with a response by chamber president. Ira Tucker Fallowing the dinner Mrs Wayne Thcmas introduced three Pacific High School girls. Betty Belden and Carla Hub bel who sang several duet n mbers accompanied at the p ara by Mary Wahl. Their st<-étions included "Moon River” . "San Francisco” and Tammy ” Mrs ” Dallus Weir, program chairman, introduced honored guest. Doug Cope, is recovering from a broken arm received from a fall while riding a young colt on his father's ranch at Mt Hebron Cal.f. Doug's parents are Mr and Mrs Ralph Cope. Ru-sell. oldest son of the late Carl Whites, was born in Port Orford and for many years the fam ily made their home at Brushes Creek The Statt pur chased the home winch tne fam ily occupied and it is now pun t t tne Humbug State Park aiea and the resiaence of the caretaker. Russell was single and oper ated a ranch witn his mot.ver at tne Cnetco and recently was busy with the bulb crcp whe.t he oecame ill and passed a wav at his heme at the age of 4S years.
