For State Senate Seat Curry County Judge Fell Campbell aneunced today that he is supporting Democratic candidate David R. Philpott for the state senate seat from Coos and Curry counties. In making the announcment, Campbell said he felt it was tim e for a change in the state legislative body. He said he felt that Philpott would bring new blood and new ideas into the senate body, which he says he feels it sorely needs after the record of the last session. He said he was well acquainted with the capabilities of P hil pott and felt they would be put to good use in the state senate. "D o Nothing" Session Returning the same to the senate each session tends to develop cliques and political maneuvering within that group which does not give true rep resentation to the area and results in a “ do nothing” ses sion. Philpott, who has lived most of his life in Coos and Curry counties, is well acquainted with the problems of the area and has always taken a keen interest in the state's prob lems as a whole. Philpott, has the education, the mental capacity and the nerve to put a program to gether and get things done. He is not afraid to work full time for the full development of Coos and Curry counties and the state. He urged all voters in both counties to vote for Philpott, by saying it’s time for a change. Tim e to get out of the olden days of thinking and in the 20th Century of representa tion.
