Your application w ill be accepted if received less than 5 days before the election only i t You are unable by reason of physical disability to vote at the polls. M A R K IN G A N D R ETUR NING THE ABSENTEE BALLOT Absent voters must sign a statement on the absnet voter's era- velope, stating that they have personally marked the ballot and have not shown the marked ballot to anyone. This statement must be witnessed by two competent persons whose signatures and residence addresses must also appear on the envelope, or it may be sworn to before a person authorized to administer oaths. The ballot m ay be marked in the o ffice of the county clerk or registrar of elections im m e d ia tely upon its receipt and delivered to the clerk at that tim e. Absentee ballots must be received in the office of the county clerk or registrar of elections not later than the closing of the polls on election day. Service voters must sign an oath printed on the envelope, stating that they are qualified voters, that the inform ation con tained in the application is true, and that they have personally marked the b allo t and have not shown the marked ballot to any one. The oath is to be signed in the presence of any person authorized by the Armed Forces, M erchant M arine, federal or state law to administer oaths.
