Vessels may enter or leave this harbor during any storm, and the only improvement required is a breakwater to pro tect vessels anchored in the harbor from the south and southwest storms of winter. Government engineers in the past have recom mended the improvement of the Port Orford harbor time and again, and the Port Orford chamber of com merce is now preparing its case for hearing before the Board of Engineers.
